Club Space

Well people, no other way to start off this list than with what we call the Mecca of house music in Miami. Club Space has always been legendary but the club’s current promotion group, Link Miami Rebels has taken the venue to new heights. In conjunction with ownership group Insomniac Events, the Rebels have used a slue of innovative ideas to bring the legendary club to new heights. This, plus their high standards for all things house music have kept the venue hip and rid from genres of house music that some may view as well, not so hip.  We love Club Space and it is our go to for all things house music in Miami.

Who plays there? Oh just anyone from the likes of Jamie Jones, Lucky Luciano, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Gordo… The list goes on and on.

Floyd

If you mention Club Space and are a true house music connoisseur, you need not travel too far to mention the next venue for top level house music in Miami. Floyd, uncommonly referred to as The Red Room stands right next door to Club Space (they are in fact connected) and ran by the same ownership and promotional groups mentioned above.

Floyd is a smaller, more intimate venue built for deeper grooves and a more sophisticated sound than its bigger and more popular older brother. If I had to make an analogy to explain to you the relationship between Club Space and Floyd I’d have to say that Space is like the jock in high school that is not only

And to anyone who’s found our article and gotten this far, we’ll let you in on a nice little secret. If you attend a show at Floyd and stay til the absolute end, they will most likely usher you upstairs to Club Space (for FREE!). But don’t quote us on this 😆

SUNDAY'S AT 1800-LUCKY

1-800-LUCKY is one of Miami’s gems when it comes to house music. When it comes to a local throw-down, this shit gets wild. And you know what the best part is?  You would never guess it when you walk in and tour the venue say on any other night but this sound system slaps, and it seems like it was built specifically for the tech house that comes out those speakers on a Sunday night.

LUCKY’S party actually starts at 4pm and it’s not necessarily one of those things that you need to show up at peak hour to enjoy. They carefully select quality local Miami DJ’s that play a genre of house music that stays true to the 1800-LUCKY brand. This means no EDM and no commercial stuff goin on around here. Just pure, hard tech house with lots of subbass and percussions. The headliner DJ usually comes on around 11-12pm with proper support to warm up the party that goes all the way to 3 in the morning. Yes, it’s true – Miami people don’t work.
